Wang Huning, China’s top political advisor, met with Marinko Cavara, deputy speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), in Beijing on Tuesday.
Wang, who serves as chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), highlighted the strong foundation of the relationship. He noted that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and the Presidency of BiH, the two nations have built solid political mutual trust, fostered close people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and achieved fruitful results in economic and trade cooperation.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and BiH. Wang emphasized China’s readiness to collaborate with BiH to implement the key consensus reached by their heads of state and deepen cooperation rooted in equality, mutual respect, and mutual benefit. He added that the CPPCC National Committee is committed to contributing further to the growth of bilateral ties.
Cavara praised President Xi’s initiatives, including the concept of building a community with a shared future for humanity and the Belt and Road Initiative. He reaffirmed BiH’s steadfast adherence to the one-China principle and expressed a desire to deepen practical cooperation across various sectors, aiming for new advancements in bilateral relations.
