China Airlines has expanded its presence in Japan with the launch of a daily flight service connecting Taichung, Taiwan, and Okinawa, Japan. This new route enhances the airline’s network and brings the total number of weekly round-trip flights between Taiwan and Japan to over 170. The service is operated by Airbus A321neo, with Flight CI310 departing Taichung at 10:00 a.m. and arriving in Okinawa at 12:40 p.m. The return journey, Flight CI311, leaves Okinawa at 1:40 p.m. and touches down in Taichung at 2:10 p.m.
In an effort to further boost connectivity, China Airlines is planning to introduce a second daily service starting on August 13. This additional flight, CI312, will take off from Taichung at 3:20 p.m. and reach Okinawa by 6:00 p.m. The corresponding return flight, CI313, is scheduled to depart Okinawa at 7:00 p.m. and arrive back in Taichung by 7:30 p.m. This expanded schedule demonstrates the airline’s commitment to strengthening travel links between Taiwan and Japan.
With the introduction of these new services, China Airlines will be operating approximately 30 round-trip flights to Okinawa every week. This increase in frequency is part of a broader strategy to enhance travel options for both business and leisure travelers. The new routes complement existing services from other Taiwanese cities such as Taipei and Kaohsiung, offering passengers more flexibility and convenience in their travel plans.
