Rupert Grint is preparing to step back into the shoes of Ron Weasley for the Broadway rendition of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” marking a nostalgic return to the character he embodied throughout the entire Harry Potter film series. Set to begin his 17-week engagement in February 2027, Grint will reunite with the role that catapulted him to fame alongside co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson over a decade ago.
Reflecting on his return, Grint expressed how Ron Weasley has been an enduring part of his life since he was just 11 years old. He noted the unique experience of revisiting the character at a time when both he and Ron are depicted as fathers, adding depth to his portrayal that feels both familiar and refreshingly new. This casting follows Tom Felton’s recent stage appearance as Draco Malfoy, which will continue through January.
