INDIANAPOLIS – As wildfire events increasingly affect air quality across North America, Carrier has introduced a robust indoor air quality program to safeguard residential and commercial spaces. The initiative addresses the serious health risks associated with fine particulate matter, which can aggravate respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
Carrier’s recommendations focus on three key strategies: upgrading HVAC systems with high-efficiency filters, sealing building structures to prevent smoke infiltration, and using HEPA-equipped portable air purifiers.
“Protecting indoor air has never been more critical,” said Nick Arch, Vice President of Residential Solutions at Carrier. “Our technologies are engineered to help families and businesses maintain safe, clean environments even during severe wildfire conditions.”
Reinforcing its commitment to community health, Carrier recently donated $2.5 million worth of air purification units to frontline workers and educational institutions in Los Angeles.
